What is considered to be a valid ID?
For Turkish Citizens, Drivers License or Turkish Republic Citizens ID and for non-citizens, passport is accepted.
Could someone receive money without a valid ID?
To be able to receive money without a valid ID, a test question and an answer have to be set by the sender before making the transaction. If a test question and an answer are not set, the sender must be contacted to set the question. Then you can receive the money by answering to the test question with the right answer at the receiving location.
What are the additional services that I can have with Western Union's money transfer service?
Available services are as follows:
- You can add a message to your transaction by paying the fee for this service.
- You can select the means of delivery. If the receiving agent offers this service, the service can be selected as "in person", "telephone" or "telegraph". From our branches you can get information on weather or not the receiving agent is providing these services.
- When you wish for safety reasons, you can set a question and an answer to the transaction. Receiver then would have to give the right answer to the question to collect the money. There is no charge for this service.
